Strategies for Success!
The SMARTS Executive Function Curriculum provides teachers with downloadable lesson plans, handouts, PowerPoints, and training which they can use to teach ALL students the strategies they need to succeed academically. These evidence-based strategies are especially important for students with learning differences and ADHD.
SMARTS Online trains teachers to teach critical executive function strategies (goal setting, organizing, thinking flexibly, remembering, and self-monitoring). Students learn which strategies work best for them as well as why, when and how to use strategies to complete their homework, to plan long-term projects, and to study for tests.

im gonna call it pseudo perfectionism cuz its not true perfectionism imo when its used as an adaptive mechanism to complete something which will most likely get graded b or c at best

So I too as a 1st grade teacher with adhd. Love you passion, love that u use your experiences to help u understand your students. I really think you would like the book “Teach Like a Champion.” Instead if just never calling on them, ask them if they want help and they can ask any then that allows the adhd scholar to have the opportunity to learn not only what’s being taught but being able to have the courage to ask for help. It’s my biggest downfall as an adhd teacher,, I get in my head I can do it all. Congrats on any awards u got here. My favorite quote; can’t take care of anyone unless u take care of you. Much love from Colorado keep molding those young minds :)

This sounds like the kind of thing that home school parents and primary school teachers must know. Fascinating. Are all home school parents exposed to this?
Can you please share the difference between Cognitive flexibility and the Inferential skill.A Math problem is solving in different way,then it will come into which one of these?
They are related and a student might need both to tackle a math problem. Inferential comprehension is the ability to understand the underlying meaning of written information and infer or determine the deeper meaning that is not explicitly stated. Cognitive flexibility is more like trying different methods of solving a problem and not getting stuck using ineffective strategies.
There is nothing this word in dictionary "Metacognitive" and again I tried to search "Metaco........." And so on nothing really, why? Answer please...!
